Summary: Featured speakers/guests:
On this edition of From The Vault we present some of the views of Bernie Sanders, a transformative politician unlike anyone our country has seen.   Bernie Sanders 1989 and 2016
Notes: Credits:
Our first recording goes back to 1989 when Bernie Sanders was running for Congress just before he won his first Congressional seat in 1990 as an Independent from Vermont. Sanders flew out to California for a couple of fundraisers in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay area.... Pacifica was there to record one of these events. You'll notice that some of his views then are very similar to his views today.

We will then hear from Senator Bernie Sanders from January of 2016, as a Presidential Candidate who gave front runner Hillary Clinton a run for her money, but came up short. In this speech he addressed the Need for Wall Street reform before we can begin balancing the unprecedented wealth inequality gap.

And finally we ll hear Senator Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, doing all he can to help the Democratic Party win the Presidential election in November.
