Scientists Stand up for Science in the Face of Trump's Threats to Science and the Planet:
The American Geophysical Unions (AGU) annual week-long conference of 26,000 earth and planetary scientists from around the world took place in San Francisco in mid-December. On the first day of the conference, over 400 people, including prominent climate scientists, environmental activists, indigenous leaders, students, and others held a protest against attacks on science that are threatened with the election of Trump. We'll hear from Naomi Oreskes, Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Harvard University, and one of the speakers at the protest.

Immortal Technique and Jeremy Scahill from the Emergency Meeting to Stop the Trump/Pence Regime Before It Starts:
We'll hear Immortal Technique, a hip-hop artist and urban activist focusing on global politics, and Jeremy Scahill, founding senior editor, The Intercept; author of Blackwater: The Rise of the Worlds Most Powerful Mercenary Army.speaking at the December 19 Emergency Organizing Meeting in New York Citys Cooper Union. Ted Sirota and Degenerate Artists Against Fascism: Musician Ted Sirota, initiator of Degenerate Artists Against Fascism, a Facebook group that already involves hundreds of artists. We'll talk about the Nazis' campaign against artists, the danger of a Trump regime, and the role of artists in the resistance. Ted Sirota is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, a veteran of Chicagos rich music scene, and an examiner of the intersection between art and revolution.
