Summary: Featured speakers/guests:
A celebration of poetry for National Poetry Month, brought to us by Grace Cavalieri ("The Poet and the Poem"). In the first half, Kansas City poet Linda Rodriguez reads poems about clean water, domestic violence, and women at a chemo clinic. Linda has both Hispanic and Cherokee heritage. In the second half, 7th grade girls from an all-Muslim school in Washington read poems and discuss poetry with Grace after having spent a day in her writing workshop. Their clear, sweet tones of innocence complement the voice of experience Linda Rodriguez offers.  Linda Rodriguez
