Evie Shockley is the author of four collections of poetry

poetry collection, semiautomatic, will be published by Wesleya
n in 2017. Her other honors include the
2012 Holmes National Poetry Prize, the 2015 Stephen Henderson Awa
rd for Achievement in Poetry,
and fellowships from the Schomburg Center for Research in Black
Culture and the American Council of
Learned Societies (ACLS). She serves as creative writing ed
itor for Feminist Studies and is an
Associate Professor of English at Rutgers University, New Brunswick.
