Summary: Featured speakers/guests:
Excerpts from an oral history recently conducted with Lark Lands, one of the worlds foremost experts and advisers on integrative medicine for HIV and AIDS, as well as other diseases including diabetes and cancer. In the very earliest days of the AIDS epidemic, she founded one of the first support groups for living with HIV. Through those groups, she taught people how to support their bodies with good nutrition and an integrated approach to healing aimed at maintaining the immune system and overall body health. Many people attribute their survival, or a significant share of it, to Larks expertise and guidance.

Sadly, Lark is now, at age 66, struggling with Stage 4 metastatic cancer that has spread to her lungs; it has no good treatment options; it came on rapidly and has worsened. She is now on oxygen full-time, unable to be off it for even a minute. Because she has many medical expenses not covered by Medicare, and because for years she generously donated her time and services, she has lived from hand to mouth for years. As a result, several folks active in the AIDS movement have launched an online fundraising campaign to help Lark cover her medical expenses.
