On Friday Romaine "Chip" Fitzgerald's parole hearing was postponed for another five years. Fitzgerald has served more time than any former Black Panther still behind bars. He was convicted of murdering a security guard and attempting to murder a highway patrolmen in a shootout after he and fellow Panthers were stopped for a traffic violation. Fitzgerald originally pled "not guilty," 49 years ago, but later changed that plea to "no contest."  Prisoner rights attorney Charles Carbone
