In our 2nd segment, well hear a presentation by Maya Little, a Black queer woman and PhD student at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Shes facing criminal and university charges for throwing red paint and her own blood on a Confederate statue ("Silent Sam") as part of her leadership of the campus movement against white supremacy. This was the statue that was later toppled by student activists.

This segment is another in our continuing series spotlighting courageous LGBTQ activists who took great risks to fight for radical change, not necessarily including the issue of gay rights, and faced or served prison time as a result -- and in some cases, became political prisoners.
