Reiner Braun
A long time activist in the European Peace Movement, working as Executive Director for Scientists for Peace and Sustainability and the International Network of Engineers and Scientists for Global Responsibility. He is a steering committee member of the International Peace Bureau and one of the leading speakers of the German peace movement.
Joe Lombardo
The Co-Coordinator of the United National Antiwar Coalition. He is also a founding member of Bethlehem Neighbors for Peace, the CSEA, and the Troy Area Labor Council.
Mumia Abu-Jamal
A renowned journalist from Philadelphia who has been in prison since 1981 and was on death row since 1983 for allegedly shooting Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner. After decades of appeals, he left death row in 2012. He is the author of many books, including Live From Death Row, Death Blossoms, All Things Censored, and We Want Freedom.
Suraia Sahar
A founding member of Afghans for Peace (AFP), an alliance of Afghans from various ethnic, religious, socio-economic, cultural, and political backgrounds with a united vision for a democratic, all-inclusive, just, and peaceful Afghanistan. Based in Toronto, she has spoken at antiwar events across North America. |
