In the United States an Western Europe antiretroviral drugs cut the death rate by 80-86% yet the drugs were so high priced many in the US couldn t afford them. In Africa the situation was far worse. Mark Heywood of the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) takes us thru the history and discusses the need for global solidarity at the upcoming Durban AIDS conference to make lasting gains in the battle to end AIDS.  Mark Heywood
